Toyota Canada has just introduced the Hybridizer which is an online educational tool that allows Canadians to compare conventional gas powered vehicles with a hybrid, a plug-in hybrid and even an electric vehicle.
You can compare these vehicles in regular driving scenarios such as a daily commute or road trip. The Hybridizer tool then shows you what fuel or electricity charging costs you’ll face along with other information such as charging times and total emissions.
From today until April 31, 2012 Toyota Canada is running a contest and will offer five lucky winners the opportunity to drive a 2012 Prius Plug-In Hybrid vehicle (PHV) for a week.
The 2012 Prius PHV arrives in Canada this year and is a five-passenger mid-size liftback with versatile packaging. It’s perfect for both short daily commutes or long road trips.
According to Stephen Beatty, the Chief Environmental Officer at Toyota Canada Inc. “with rising gas prices, Canadians are always looking for the most fuel efficient way to handle their daily commute. The Prius PHV, which joins the Prius family this year, offers drivers exceptional fuel consumption due to Toyota’s advanced Hybrid Synergy Drive technology” and “the Hybridizer tool gives Canadians the opportunity to experience how a hybrid or electric vehicle can fit into their lives”.
